Today here in hurrumanu 3 we were doing stuff about the science of mars and our solar system. Today we were reading a book about becoming a Martian and after we read we have to answer the questions.

Here is the questions that I  have to answer.  

1. When can a mission to mars (or from Mars) happen?why?

A mission to mars(or from mars) can only be twenty six moths because the orbits has to be close to be able to go to Mars or to go home from Mars. 

2.What are the two geological features of Mars?

The two geological features of Mars are the Valleys and Volcanoes.  

3.What is one of the possible solution from the story about oxygen on Mars?

One of the possible solution to make oxygen is the machine that the NASA made and the machine is called MOXIE,which it uses a lot of electricity to spilt the carbon dioxide into

Today here in drama we are doing  annotation script.I choose to do where is my happily ever after I will give you some facts about my role.Where’s my happily ever after

My role:I’m snowhite ,I'm 14yearold,I have 7 dwarf friends, And I can talk to animals.

                      I'm Snowhite my mom died when I was 

          Little  kid  my father is married to the Evil queen the Evil queen wants to kill me because she wants to be the pretties .There is a magic mirror that can tell who is the prettiest in the world that why she wants to kill me I have a 7 dwarf friend their names are Dopey,Sneezy,Bashful,Doc,Happy,Grumpy and Sleepy. I'm afraid that my stepmom would kill me sometime.

   

Natural disasters

Kia Ora readers today I will be talking about the hurrumanu 1. In hurrumanu 1 we were allowed to pick the topic for our research since were are done on the earthquake. After that we have to make questions for us to answer and I decided to pick the natural disasters because it almost happen in every country and i also pick it because it has a lot of information and it interest me so that is why i picked it for my research.I hope you like it!

Melting ice in tin foil

 Kia Ora readers today ill be talking about what happens in science class. We were allowed to pick what to make a blog about and i decided to create a blog about Melting the ice in the tin foil. Our aim was to know how much minutes it takes to melt an ice on a tin foil. We did is to pick a partner or do it in your own i decided to do it on my own. We have to get a tin foil or other stuff to melt the ice with but I decided to pick the Tin foil because the Tin foil might melt faster. After that I grab some  ice and got the timer after that I recorded how much it took for the ice to melt on the Tin foil and it took 6:24.18 minutes for the ice to melt on the Tin foil. I learned that out all the stuff to use for the ice to melt the tin foil was the first one to melt the ice which means its faster to melt in a tin foil that the glove,rubber,foam out of all of that stuff the tin foil melts the ice better. 

Earthquakes

 Kia Ora readers today we were doing some research about earthquakes. It is important to know about the earthquakes because there is almost one earthquake every year. That why we should learn about the earthquakes because you wouldn't know what time or what day will the earthquake happen so we should be always aware and prepared what you would need and what to do.

Water safety

 Kia Ora readers today i'll be talking about the safety rules in Jellie park. It is important for us students here in Hornby high to know what are the safety rules in Jellie  park because we are going there  for the EOTC week  here in our school. We can pick what type of things to do a blog post about and I picked the safety rules in Jellie park, and if i picked the Safety rules on Jellie park  I have to create eight safety rules on Jellie park and write it on a google drawing or on a canvas and I choose to do it on a google drawing because i am used to using it . I hope you liked it.

Fun Run

 

                                                         Fun Run 

Kia Ora readers this Wednesday we enjoyed the Fun Run that was created by Ms. Whaea kana. On the first week we were doing the Fun Run where we get the money for the kids can, and on Wednesday we did the Fun Run where we run on the field and get some colours on our shirts and shorts, if you don want to get the coloured powder you have to wear black shirt but if you wanna get colour on your shirt wear a white one. After we ran on the field some people did the water slide and also did the obstacle where you have to go under the hoops or over. The fun part of the Fun run was the bouncy castle where you have to race with another person. Then you will get wet with the hose or with the water gun if you want. The Teachers also gave us some free drinks to drink after we did all of the activities.  We really enjoy the fun run that happens and we would like to thanks the people who organised the Fun Run for us year 7 to 10, and to show that we really  enjoy the fun run here are some photos that were taken on the fun run. The total money that we raised on our class was over 500 dollars and all class were supposed to get the 500 dollars each class in our school.
