Welcome back to my blog today i will be talking about what we did in hurrumanu 1, we basically were learning about our heroes and we also used an app to use to brain storm some words what makes a person an hero, after that we had to pick one character to draw and after that we had to basically describe our hero. 

I decided to pick my mom to be my hero because she had always been helping people who needed it and always took care of me since i was a child and the other reason why i picked my mother is because she had been my role model since i was a kid and i really wanted to be like her when i grow up, and i wrote my mom as a trust worthy is because she always keep my secret only to her and never tells it to someone else and that is why i putted the word trustworthy, and I putted the word caring because she always cares for my family and for other people and whenever im sick she always makes me feel better :)

Earthquake heroes

Today I will be talking about what we did in past days last week.In the past days we were learning and researching about Earthquake heroes, and here are some stuffs that I found out about it. 

In February 22,2011 there was an earthquake that happened with a magnitude of 6.3, a lot of buildings were destroyed and there was a total amount of 185 people who died on the earthquake and there was also thousands of people who were injured and some of them were also seriously injured. 

One of the people who got an award was Dr.Bryce Curran who got an award for having the effort to help the people that needed the help, and he also saved a person who were stuck on a building and who is also bleeding to death.

Conical flask  

What is Conical flask used for?A Conical flask is commonly used to hold the chemicals and it also used to mix the chemicals.

Beaker

What is a beaker used for?A beaker is a glass container that is similar with the conical flask, it is used in in the chemistry lab for mixing,heating things and it also used for mixing the liquids.

Measuring cylinder

What is a Measuring cylinder used for?A Measuring cylinder is commonly used to measure the volume of the liquid.

Bunsen burner 

What is an Bunsen burner used for? A Bunsen burner is a gas burner that is mostly used as a heat source in the laboratory. 

Test tube rack

What is an test tube rack?A test tube rack is basically a test tube holder, where you can store your test tubes.

Welcome back to my blog today im gonna talk about our science this year and this past weeks we were learning about our safety in the science room and my aim is to success all the science work and one of them is to set our hands on fire safely. 

 The equipment's that we need for the experiment is 

 * safety gases for safety 

*Detergent (soap)

*Lighter to make the fire

*Gas

*Hose 

*Container 

*Water 

Instructions

1. Gather your equipment's together  
2. Put your safety glasses on
3. Fill the container with water 
4. Put some detergent into the water 
5. Connect the hose to the gas tap and put the other end on the water 
6. Turn on the gas 
7. Tie you hair up 
8. Wet your hands,wrist,arms to your elbows.
   
   
   
9. With two hands, scoop the bubbles that were made by the detergent 
10. Extend you arms in front of your face.
11. 
    Do not pull your hands away 
12. set the bubbles on fire with the lighter 
13. To get rid of the fire slowly open you hands into the iron pose 
    
    
    
    
    
    

 

Lung cancer

 Kia Ora readers today I will be talking about the Lung Cancer first of all you might be wondering why I chooses lung cancer even thou there is a lot of interesting Health crisis well I chooses the lung cancer I find that the lung cancer is really interesting to learn and research about,I also chooses Lung cancer because one of my family got the lung cancer when he was alive and my grand grand dad had the Lung Cancer while he was alive. So I thought of learning and researching about my Families health crisis.

Solar systems

 Kia Ora readers today we were learning about solar system,Wind power, and last but not be least the geothermal. We were allowed to pick what we want to do for our project and me and Linny decided to  pick the Solar system and we were asked to make an poster about it and write some facts about the solar system. We decided to write some facts like what does it do and how it works to get the solar energy.  Solar energy can help us dry our clothes charge our phone and it helps us to have an electricity to have lights and refrigerator on,when the solar system is on. Although  the cost of the solar system cost really expensive if you buy one. But it works even thou there are a lot of clouds and also works even if it rains. 

How Solar system works.

 Our sunlight activates the panels which make electricity and after that the electricity goes through an inverter and the inverter makes the electricity more usable power for us to use. The inverter will immediately send you power to use and any power that is not used is gonna go to the power grid and it actually saves you about 90% on your electric bill.

Spheroes on Mars

 Kia Ora readers welcome back to my blog today here in Hurrrumanu 3 we were doing a research about Spheroes on Mars and now we have to make a research about the answer.

What rocket did the perseverance use to get to space?

The rocket that the perseverance use to get to space was Atlas V rocket,they used that rocket because it has a right liftoff for the weight requirements and destinations.

Describe the two vehicles that  are being taken in Mars.

One of the vehicles that are being taken in Mars is a Lander, A Lander is a spacecraft that moves toward,and comes to rest on,the surface of an astronomical body. The second vehicles that are being taken in the Mars is Trans habitat.

Where does the mission plan to land on mars on? They were going to the Mars were the part of Jezero Crater were and they plan to do the mission there.

What are they looking for? The people that land on the Mars were looking for signs of ancient life and they were looking on the stones because they might see some of it in the stones since on the olden days they wrote in the rocks and some caves.
