Today here in Hurrummanu 2 we did Annotation script i chose to do the 'Where is my happily ever after'.

Here is my monologue

You’re right, you’re absolutely right. I don’t belong here.

 But do any of us? Wait, wait, wait! We are more alike than you think! Queen Narcissa- the seven dwarfs saved Snow White and then what happened? It left you the Unfairest of them all! 

Now you’re hustling the pool to get your next meal. How does that feel? You, frumpy pigskin, right Rumpelstiltskin…my bad. Where’s that first born you were promised, eh?  Hook! Need I say more? Anastasia, remember when you couldn’t get your fat foot in that glass slipper? 

Cinderella is out there right now, eating bon bons and schmoozing with every last fairy tale creature that has ever done you wrong! There are two sides to every story. And our side has not been told. So, who wants to come out on top for once? Who wants their happily ever after?

Welcome back to my blog today in Speaking my truth,we played  games.

*Statues 
We played the game statues so we can practise are stillness , gesture and movement.To play this game u need a person that will look who moved.The person will count up to 1 2 3 and u have to freeze.The person will try to make u move so u will be out.

*Tequila
We played the game named tequila,the reason that we played this game is to have more teamwork.The game is really fun to do and its easy to play.

* 7 Up
We played this game because u can learn teamwork and stillness.U could play this game because it is really easy and fun to do.

New Zealand History Disaster

Hello readers today in hurrumanu 1 we did some research about New Zealand History.We have to pick a topic then we have to research some stuff about the topic.I chose to do the New Zealand History,I chose the Piker River Mine and the Cave Creek.

This are the things that i research on the Cave Creek.
 The cave creek disaster happen in 28 April 1995.The Student were from the Tai Poutini Polytechnics,The student stood on the platform to look below at the Cave Creek re surge,where the sea emerge were.The student  look at the underground Cave before heading out of the sea.It was very bright and sunny on the west coast when the poorly built platform collapse and the student fell and they were hitted by the rocks it was 30 meters fall .Smith is one of the survivors and he always thinks why did he survive.After the accident smith spend his year recovering.14 people died in the Cave Creek  accident.

And here are the stuff that i research about the Piker River Mine.
There were 29 people that died on the Piker river mine and there were 2 non fatal injuries.The Location is in:New Zealand,Piker River  Mine,Grey Mouth.Since coal mining began in the New Zealand,there have been 211 recorded death from nine mine separate explosions.The most recent explosion is in Piker river mine. Although coal company’s management believed that their mining method,using modern technology,were both safer and more efficient than those used in the past.The explosion 19 November 2010 bore a tragic resem blance to previous Cole mine explosions.Unfortunenatly there were a failure to control methane at the Piker river mine on 19 November 2010.That’s why there were a big explosion on the Piker River mine.

Reading

Today in hurumanu 1 we did some reading.My group is Mahinga kai there are some other like Te tiriti o watangi and the last is Tangata Whenua.

The story on the Mahinga kai is about a man who grows his own food. He has a garden at his backyard and he has grown a lot of vegetables he also goes on the near beach to do fishing he got some Kutai ,Paua, Kina ,kanakan patiki, and Inaga. He thinks he is a rich man because he have food grown by him.

Today we are celebrating the Filipino week here at school. I'm gonna teach you some greetings about the Philippines and some of the dress.There are 15 president in the Philippines but only 5 president are alive.

Making Biltong

Today in hurumanu 3 we did some experiment .We are  making  a biltong ,its a food that you have to put in a cold and dry place for 3-4 day.

Ingredients :
*You will need a salt so the meat can dry more quickly and it can also remove bacteria or spores .
*Sugar dehydrates, while it also helps retain moisture throughout processing and storage  

Material:
*String so you can place it somewhere cold and dry.
*Sharp knife to cut it.
*Non metallic container to put the meat.

Steps:

1. Wash your hands.

2. Using a sharp knife,Following the grain of the meat,cut the biltong 1 inch (2.5 cm)thick lengths and place it on a non metallic container.

3. Grab a pinch of salt and sugar and combine and Sprinkle it on the meat. rub everything in thoroughly whilst turning the meat with your hands.

     4.Add a hook to the meat  and put it outside or somewhere cool and dry. 

     5.Leave it there for 3-4 days, and make sure to check it every day and test it if it's OK or cooked. 

6.Cut it to pieces if it’s done.

Result:

After 3 days the biltong went really dry which is good.

*The meat was very dry because of the salt but why does the salt dry the meat.The salt dries the meat because when you rub the salt  to the meat it removes the moisture and it creates concentration which is present in a high proportion relative to other substances. That's why the meat dries because the moisture was getting remove and it makes concentration.

It smell like:
Rotten tuna,fish food,dog food,mashed potato.

What it look like:
Bark(because of the colour),Seaweed.

What i hear:
Crack(When you half it).

What it taste like:
Salty,No flavor,Sun flower seed.
