Welcome back to my blog for this week here in science we are creating the hokey pokey this Friday for the last experiment of the year.
Aim:
I want would like to find out on how to make Hokey Pokey.

Method:
Equipment:
- Pot
- 5 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoon of Golden syrup
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder (Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate)
- Wooden spoon
- Baking paper
- Stove (Bunsen Burner)
Instructions:
- Gather your equipment's ready.
- Set up your Bunsen Burner.
- Put your pot on the tripod and use the blue flame.
- Add the sugar and golden syrup together to the pot.
- Mix it with the wooden spoon.
- Stop mixing then turn off the Bunsen when the sugar when it begins to boil.
- Add the baking powder and mix.
- Pour the mixture onto the baking paper.
- Let it cool.
Results:
When we were cooking the hokey pokey it melted really quickly and then we added the baking powder and it got puffy and doubled it's sized and it tasted really nice when we took a sample.
